Sarnia's Michael Marinaro
Competes in the 2018 Winter Olympics!
26-year-old Sarnia Olympian Michael Marinaro competed in his 1st Olympic competition with partner Kirsten Moore-Towers of St. Catherines. Marinaro began skating at age 2 and while his siblings got into hockey, Michael spun into figure skating and joined the Point Edward Skating Club. Competing in the Olympics has been his goal since he was 5 years old and had to make some tough decisions to make his dream happen.
Michael and Kirsten competed together at the current Olympics in Pairs Figure Skating. On Wednesday they were sitting in 13th place after the Short Program and moved up 2 places yesterday after the Free Skating Program and finished with an 11th place finish overall.
Canada had 2 more pairs competing in the competition!!
Meagan Duhamel & Eric Radford finished 3rd!!
Julianne Seguin & Charlie Bilodeau finished 9th!!
Canada finishes with a bronze medal!!
